Students will be allowed to work with one other person if they decide to do so and the partnership must also be approved by both the teacher and the parent/guardian.  Topic choices will be due Sept. 30th.

Mrs. Behan, Mr. Kram, Mrs Vetter- English: Teams 7-1, 7-2, & 7-3
This week in English students were introduced to the new textbook, Themes-an Introduction to Literature. Each student was given a book to take home; we have a class set, so students should not bring theirs to school. Please keep them at home and use them for homework. We read the first selection from Unit Two, entitled The Circuit, and completed a series of assignments about it. Students also took a vocabulary quiz based on the words from the story. Next week, we will continue Unit 2 by reading two poems and the next short story, as well as work on our critical reading skills. Please keep in mind that an ongoing assignment is our independent reading assignment. Students should be reading their novels regularly. We will soon be working on developing the essay which they will have to write based on the novel they are reading.
