This week students had a quiz on introductory vocabulary for their Ecology unit. Simultaneously students are wrapping up the final details for their Science Projects due this Wednesday November 9th. Monday will focus on how to give their oral presentations which is 15 points of the 100.

This week we worked on study habits and preparation for assessments. We took the assessment on Wednesday. Moving forward we will investigating the 2016 election and the colonization of America.

This week in English, students continued reading Freak the Mighty and took an exam on chapters 1-12. Students are expected to read to the end of chapter 16 by Thursday, 11/10. We continued to work in the Themes Anthology and read a play titled, "These Shoes of Mine." This was the last reading in the "Family Matters" unit. Next week students will take an exam on Weds, 11/9, on the readings in the unit. We will review for the exam in class on Monday. On Friday, we explored Election Speak to help students better understand the issues surrounding the upcoming election next week.
