PTA Update March 30 - April 3

English

This week in English we continued our analysis of the novel The Testing. We have been looking through the text for evidence that helps the author develop the characters, conflict, and theme. We have also been using inquiry to develop a deeper understanding of the text. In addition, we have continued practicing our critical reading and writing skills. Next week, we will complete the novel reading and review poetic devices.

Mathematics

Both classes will have the next and last Unit Exam for the Quarter on Wednesday April 1st.

Accelerated- The exam will cover both Chapters 12 and 13 with some review topics.  All students received their Common Assessment score on Thursday.  Please review with them and sign.  The Math State Assessment Exam will be administered on April 23 - 25.

Regular- The exam will cover Chapter 10 with some review topics.  All students received their Common Assessment score on Thursday.  Please review with them and sign.  The Math State Assessment Exam will be administered on April 23 - 25.

Science:

Social Studies:

We are continuing to work on our Interactive Flipbook that will count as a unit exam for our Early President Unit. If you student has a pair of scissors and a glue stick, please encourage them to bring it next week so we can all complete the activities efficiently. Have a great break. We will be completing the Interactive Flipbook when we return from the break.
