ENGLISH:
Students took an Inquiry Test on Friday based on the first three selections of Workshop Three. They also handed in their Case Study Projects earlier in the week. After the break we will continue with the second half of Workshop Three. I wish a safe and happy vacation to all!
FAMILY & CONSUMER SCIENCES:
MATHEMATICS:
Parts 1 and 2 of the Unit Exam were administered today. Part 3 will be given the Monday we get back. The Valentine's Day Performance Task was due today. If your child did not hand it in, please have them complete over the vacation. Have a wonderful vacation!! All NYC permission slips and deposits were due today. If your child did not bring it in make sure they do the Monday we get back from vacation.
SCIENCE:
This week in
science, students explored the Respiratory System. They conducted a lab activity
on Wednesday, investigating tidal and vital lung capacity. When we come back
from vacation, we will conclude the study of the Respiratory System with a take
home quiz. Our next unit of study will be the Circulatory System. I want to wish
everyone a happy winter break!
SOCIAL STUDIES:
Have a happy and healthy February break. When we return, we will be taking a quiz on the Bill of Rights and then read a story about what happens to the Bill of Rights when terrorism is involved.
