Welcome back! I hope everyone enjoyed their Spring Break! This week we were introduced to our fourth and final workshop, Breaking Barriers. We will explore individuals and movements that have influenced the rights of individuals and groups in our society. Next week, we will be introduced to our fourth quarter research paper. We will visit the library, have the steps to the assignment carefully explained, and work on research skills.
FAMILY AND CONSUMER SCIENCES:
This week students created items for their student run fundraising business and started their journey of learning more about themselves and others in our Personal Development Unit.

SOCIAL STUDIES:
This week we will finish our study of Andrew Jackson. Last week we began to examine the influence of Jacksonian Democracy on our society using a series of video and worksheets. There will be a quiz on Andrew Jackson on Tuesday, April 29. Videos cane be watched that review Jackson. These include: Introduction, Reinventing the Presidency P1, Reinventing the Presidency P2, Corporations, the Bank War, Indian Removal, Cherokee & the Supreme Court, and Nullification. The Math Assessment will be Wednesday through Friday with shortened classes. During this time we will talk about westward expansion in the United States. Students have this week left to hand in the Cerealism Project before the grade is locked to a zero. The project can be found here.
