ART:
This is the last week in Art, as the quarter ends on Friday. Extra help is on Thursday for one hour. Please make sure all work is handed in by Friday, January 31. It was a pleasure teaching your children. Enjoy Family & Consumer Sciences. Mrs. Knoop.

ENGLISH:
We have completed the first half of Freak the Mighty, and the students have taken a short reading check about Chapters 1-12. We have discussed characterization and are investigating to decipher the conflicts within the plot. Throughout the discussions, we are also reflecting on the theme of trust in friendship and thriving in the face of challenges. Next week is the last week before the quarter ends, so I am encouraging any overdue work to be handed in immediately. We will continue reading the second half of the novel, and practice writing skills of main idea and supporting evidence.
